An East Van Panto Summer Camp for Kids!

Over a five day workshop, children will be introduced to The Panto form, workshop scenes from past An East Van Pantos, as well as the draft in development for this year’s Hansel and Gretel: An East Van Panto, learning songs and choreography. They will also be given the opportunity to work with the five PANTOLAND facilitators to explore their own Panto ideas, creating scenes, songs and dances with costumes, props and sets. PANTOLAND will inspire participants to be creative and expressive, generating unique ideas by utilizing all the skills brought into the room by children and adults alike.

Theatre Replacement artistic directors James Long and Maiko Yamamoto and An East Van Panto musical director and TR Artistic Associate Veda Hille will team up with teachers from the Burnaby and Richmond school districts, Tamara McCarthy and Karen McNee. PANTOLAND will take place on the stage of The Cultch’s The York Theatre, beloved home of An East Van Panto!
